Optima XR Operation Guide
Steps required to operate and maintain the Optima XR floor burnisher.
Machine Preparation
- Prior to use, ensure propane tank is full, and engine oil is at the full line


- Check burnisher pad condition by tipping machine to the right

- Buffing pad can be changed by removing center lock

Warning: Do not lean machine to the left to check pad, this will cause oil to leak

- Inspect fuel line for wear or damage

- Use pin to adjust handle to appropriate level for operator

- Place and clamp propane tank in carriage with nozzle facing front of machine

- With propane valve closed, attach fuel line to the tank

Machine Operation
- Open propane valve, and set throttle to slow speed

- Lean machine back onto rear castor wheel prior to starting engine

- Engage engine by moving key to start position

Note: Do not activate the starter for more than 5 seconds at a time
- Move throttle to fast position

- Begin walking forward and slowly lower machine to the floor
Warning: Be sure to always operate the machine at full speed
- Continuously walk forward while operating machine to avoid damaging floor

- To stop using machine, tilt machine on back castor
- Set throttle to slow speed, close fuel valve and wait for engine to stop

- Turn key to off position once engine has stopped
