GeneSys Mid-Size: Poor solution recovery

Steps to identify and resolve solution recovery issues for the GeneSys Mid-Size

Recovery Tank is Full

Full recovery tank engages ball float which stops water recovery

  • Empty recovery tank

    • Align rear of machine with approved drain
    • Remove cap of recovery tank hose above tank water level
    • Kink recovery hose and lower to to drain, release to drain water

Dirty / worn squeegee blades

  • Flip or replace worn squeegee blade

    • Release squeegee clamp band

    • Identify edge of blade that is acceptable for use
    • Reorient blade so usable concave edge is contacting floor

Note: If all 4 edges have been used, squeegee blade must be replaced


Clogged recovery hose

  • Remove hose obstructions

    • Remove recovery hose from machine and inspect
      • Detach end from squeegee assembly and recovery tankGeneSys Mid-size recovery hose

    • Push broom handle / long object through hosing to clear blockage

    • Reinstall hose to recovery tank and squeegee assembly

Obstructed Squeegee intake

  • Review squeegee inlet and remove debris

    • Detach recovery hose
    • Remove squeegee assembly from machine
    • Review intake and remove any blockages

Stuck / damaged ball float

  • Check status of float cage

    • Open recovery tank lid
    • Inspect ball float and cage
      • 2 floats should be present within cage
    • Remove cage and dislodge float

Recovery tank lid not sealing properly

Recovery tank seal not engaging reduces suction capacity

  • Ensure tank seal is properly aligned

    • Open recovery tank lid
    • Review underside of red lid for proper gasket placement
    • Press gasket into recovery tank groove if misaligned

Drain hose cap not installed properly

Incorrect cap installation reduces suction capacity

  • Ensure hose cap is seated

    • Remove cap from drain hose
    • Reinstall cap with pressure to allow cap to fully seal

Clogged HEPA filter

  • Review HEPA filter for damage or clogs

    • Review recovery tank to ensure it is empty
      • Empty tank if necessary
    • Open battery compartment underneath recovery tank
    • Inspect filter on underside of recovery tank for any damage, or clogs
